PLEASE NOTE:

  • Finance Symposium - Tuesday, November 16, 1999
If you are planning to attend the OMG meetings, the Finance Symposium is included in your meeting registration fee. If you are only attending the Finance Symposium on Tuesday, November 16th, the registration fee is US$150.00.

The OMG Finance Domain Task Force is hosting a Finance/Insurance Information Day to provide Information Technology managers, architects, systems integrators and vendor organizations with opportunities to influence the strategic direction of Financial System integration standards and products. Also, you will see demonstrations of implementations of adopted specifications, the latest on CORBA 3.0, and how XML, UML and Components play a role in the Finance and Insurance Industry.

We invite you to join us on November 16, 1999 at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, MA from 8:30 - 4:00pm, in conjunction with OMG’s Technical Committee Meeting Week.

Please contact Michelle Labbe, Senior Account Executive, Business Development, for further information at +1-508-820-4300, or by email at michelle@omg.org or if you would like to register via the web, you may do so at: http://www.omg.org/techprocess/meetings/meetingreg.html

  • Technical Bookstore

John Wiley & Sons, Publishers of the OMG book series of Computing Titles, will sponsor a bookstore during the Cambridge Technical Meeting Week. The bookstore will be centrally located in the demo or coffee break area. We'll be contacting OMG series authors regarding their availability for book signings and offering discounts on the latest titles. Details will be published on the OMG Technical Meeting information web page as they are finalized.

  • Technical Committee Update

Included with this information/registration package is the Technical Committee Update for the meeting that was held in San Jose, CA USA the week of August 23-27, 1999. To view this as well as some of the previous updates go to http://www.omg.org/techprocess/meetings/tcupdate.html.

  • Demo Area - Now open to all levels of OMG membership!

The demo area will be open to all levels of OMG membership and space is on a first-come, first-reserved basis. The demo area is for demonstrations of OMG Adopted Technology; you must provide a demo to be part of this free program. The demo area will be open Tuesday, November 16 from 12:00 noon to 17:00 and Wednesday, November 17 from 10:00 to 20:00. Those requesting a table in the demo area will take responsibility for all shipping, setup, staffing and running of their demo station. Use of the demonstration area is solely at the risk of the participating member. OMG assumes no liability for lost, stolen or damaged equipment or supplies. On Tuesday evening your equipment may be brought into the OMG registration office (as space allows) which will be locked until registration opens the next morning. If you prefer not to tear down on Tuesday evening, OMG does not provide security in the demo area but we will be happy to make the arrangements and you may pay for this service with a credit card.

Demo attendants are required to register and pay the meeting registration fee but are welcome to have lunch and refreshments and attend any of the sessions as well. For more information or to reserve your space, please contact Kevin Loughry at the Object Management Group no later than Friday, November 5, 1999 at +1-508-820-4300 or loughry@omg.org. Any OMG member is welcome to bring their company literature on products, services, etc. and may display it on the tables in the meeting registration area. OMG reserves the right to remove anything we deem to be inappropriate.
