Currently Opera is for Windows,
but more operating systems are on the way. We have released a BeOS
beta Opera for BeOS and we are working on Linux/Solaris/Unix/X11, MacOS,
Epoc32, OS/2 and Amiga. For more information about the progress on your operating
system please see our Platform Page.
 Tired
of 10MB+ downloads, megabytes of updates, sluggish performance, HTML standard
violations, desktop domination, instability, the seductive word 'free', and a
browser war that left you as the only casualty? Then welcome to Opera!
Small, fast, customizable, powerful but user-friendly, it takes the wait out of
the Internet, reduces your online charges and does what the others tried in vain:
it puts a big smile on your face. It also is -- surprise, surprise -- well worth
paying for. Click the image to see a larger screen shot of Opera in action!
So, have a look around, and if you don't know Opera, download the latest version
which is yours for 30 full user days to evaluate. If you aren't sure and believe
users rather than us, we welcome you to visit our guestbook.
It'll convince even the most hesitant soul.

User
Help
If you have problems or questions, have a look at our support
page, but also visit our dedicated opera news
server with a selection of groups. We've also made a page with all the keyboard
shortcuts available to you -- in case you're too lazy to read the online
help. <grin> |
Project
Magic
In October 1997, we started a project to gauge interest in
Opera for WinDOS-free operating systems. We are now actively developing for
a number of platforms. This was a result of thousands of users pledging their
support. But here's more.... |
Download
Opera 3.60 is now the official version. We've added many features,
including CSS and Java support. Read more about Opera
3.60. Opera is still available in other language versions on mirrors located
around the globe. |
Special
Uses
Opera has many features that make it the preferred choice for
disabled or physically handicapped users. This page shows you how we care for
these users by providing special functionality. |
Error
Reports
If you'd like to inform us of operational problems with Opera,
please use this form. Please remember that many display problems are caused
by invalid HTML rather than by a bug in Opera. |
Button
and Banner
Please help us spread the news about Opera! If you would like
to place an Opera download button or banner on your home page, you can do so
here. Hundreds have already done so, and this number is rising fast! |
Guestbook
We would really appreciate if you could leave a message for
us and other visitors about what you think of Opera, and perhaps this website,
too. The page also lists previous guestbook entries. |
