- $35.00 + S&H with no version upgrade or OS change. This can become costly,How hard could it be to simply put on cd per order and mail it out from Opera the same day? Having Opera on cd isnt too much to ask, you dont even have to print a fancy label, or a box, or even the cd holder, But you should provide the software on cd direct and not for $35.I am more than willing to pay more for real quality. But $45 from a US Dist.V3.0 no way.$25-$30 V3.6 W/1upgrade, yes way.
Thanks Voltark

Buffalo, NY, USA- I *HATE* Microsoft. I *HATE* Internet Exploder! What a piece of excrement.
Netscape has gotten too bloated and buggy.
So far (2 days of use) Opera has really impressed me. It is very quick. Keyboard friendly (keyboard is *ALWAYS* quicker than the mouse). Keep up the good work. I'm anxious to see Opera for Linux. Netscape on Linux is very quirky.

Australia- Got fed up with ie when i tried to install IE4 and the active desktop feature messed up my system. Used Netscape for a while, but their new release keeps crashing on me (as in at least twice an hour). Went surfing for a new browser at Tucows and found that most were a front end for IE, which I refuse to use due to size and the nasty habit it has of taking over your computer. Then I found Opera. I've only been using it for a couple of days, but I'm totally impressed! The features are easy to use and it doesnt hog my hard drive.
Thank you for creating a really competive product!

Pelham, AL, USA- I like this browser on my Be operating system. But, a lot of sites I want to use either won't display properly or at all. I understand it is the sites' problems, but I am often forced to use a more common browser to use the sites I want to use.
Editor's Note" Please remember that the Opera for BeOS is still in beta
which means that it is not a final product. Please report
any bugs as this is how we test our program.

You'd better try it! Quick and easy-to-use, it sounds fantastic!
The Opera features I like best are: its terrific speed, the option of toggling the loading of images, its shorter space on disk,... Well, try it and find out what I'm trying to tell...

Fridley MN, USA- After 1 day, I like the features thus far; will likely purchase. It is a superb browser!
Any estimate as to how much RAM is used per additional URL open. What is the limit on number of windows; I usually run about 10-12? The sample copy seems to be limited to nn windows.

How much longer?
How about reducing the detailed graphics on your palmtop related sites so that we can see them more quickly! Please.

-
Dallas, Texas- A noble intent, strictly adhering to the W3C standards, but do we really want this? NN and IE may be less compliant but are more forgiving and allow friendlier displays of more pages. Full JavaScript compliance would be nice, have noticed some glitches in this area. An impressive product, a fan but still evaluating. 8 out of 10.
Anthony McIntyre
-
Miramar, USA- Have heard about your browser once before in a magazine review.
Since this is the first time I have actually come across it, upon reading through your claims I have decided to download it and give it a try.
Esteban Salazar
-
Seattle, WA- I have a suggestion for your upcoming Opera for Linux release. You should make it highly themeable or make it support an existing theme architecture like GTK themes or Enlightenment, or even allow people to make skins. Linux users are wild about stuff like that. If Opera could do that not only would it kill slow Netscape for speed and functionality, it would put the clunky ugly Netscape design to shame. Just an idea.
Stefan Zahariev
-
Sofia, Bulgaria- Hello
I am trying to learn more about smaller browsers and now will evaluate your product 3.60

Austin, USA- Do you guys allow sites to link and use your email as suggested provider. I mean, it would be free advertising. We are a site like yahoo, excite, etc. They all provide free email as a feature. I was wondering if you have allowed links to to email in this way.
Sincerely yours

Apple Valley, MN, USA- How does it do it that fast?!?
This is the only browser I know of that reads HTML 4, AND isn't Micro$oft or AOL! And it's way faster!
(now, you just need it to work with Linux, and I'll be absolutely sold!)

Harbor City, Calif., U.S.A.- Downloaded your web browser "OPERA 3.60 last night, stuck in a winsock from netscape 3.03 and was off and running using my Pacbell connection as an ISP. So far, so good. It does appear to not be as "fast" as claimed however. Code optimization seems in order. Or maybe it would help if i didn't use my 300 baud modem :-) But so far, with all of 10 minutes of testing Netscape 3.03 wins. Maybe it is just because i am a little more used to it. Expect in any event, your fees at the end of the 30 day test period. Thanks for a great SMALL coded product. Best to everybody at Opera.

Sao Paulo, Brazil- Hello Opera
My name is Rogerio Taira, I'm webmaster from MacNews Brasil, a Macintosh news and user community in portuguese.

Then this portuguese version host in http://www.macnews.com.br/opera, and I link directly on a new coming soon session on my site (Products and Developers), and banners on chat sessions.

USA- I recently downloaded Opera 3.6 to try out for a bit. After using Netscape for many years it will take a while to get used to Opera's way of doing things, but I'll give it a fair shot.
One thing I see that Opera does NOT do that is an absolute must for me is the ability to have multiple users. I hope to see this feature in an upgrade. To make it easy to backup user info, I'd like to see Opera use a system similar to Netscape; a USERS directory then each individual user in a named directory under USERS.
Also, I'm looking forward to a Linux version, since I plan to upgrade my operating system from Microsoft's crap to something that actually works.
By the way, your URL completion is weird. I've checked the settings, and indeed it is set at the default of pre=www and post=com. It completes Microsoft fine, but can't find Netscape, and takes a long time to find Opera.
Oh well, time to go to work. I'll play some more with Opera later.
By for now.

Judith Champagne
-
Brandon, Florida, USA- This product sounds too good to be true. I would like to purchase it but does it come on CD? I am currently clogging my hard drive with both Internet Exploder and Netscrape. My main concern is that I would lose my bookmarks and my email address book. Will Opera import the bookmarks and the email address book thus allowing me to delete the IE and Netscape programs in their entirety?
Thank You

Greenville, SC, USA- I have been using Opera 2.51, and have found that it takes a lot from MSIE HTML support, and more of Netscape's URL and path support. This makes it harder to create absolute links, but over all, Opera is great.

Melbourne, Australia- Great browser - fast, stable, accurate. But I evaluated Opera 3.20 and I now can't test 3.6x since some mark has been left saying that I'm past the evaluation period. I was going to purchase 3.6x but its hard sight-unseen. Is this supposed to happen?

Just a thought.

Southampton, England- Opera was reccomended to me by a Computer Scientist freind after I

It's fast, easy to use, just great. Keep up the good work.
Per Quindesland
-
Liverpool, England- Yeah it is a great browser, aldo i think that making it a bit more nicer to look at and also free will make it far more popular the Netscape and Explorer, it shouldent be so hard, has anyone whit in the Opera company been thinking about going into a collaboraition whit Pegasus and making a offer whit both Opera and Pegasus?.
Regards

Ed Frye

Canyon Country, CA, usa- I am just getting started
Alejandro Lavarello
-
Montevideo, Uruguay- Opera is excellent!
I am amazing with the velocity
of Opera: it seems to be 3 to 4
times more fast than IE or Netscape.
The only problem that I have encountered is to view pages
"optimized for IE" or "optimized for Netscape". I think that
Web surfing must to be standard,
and "optimization for ..." is
only a deliberated incompatibility
made by web administrators.
OLI

- This is one of the best Browsers...but I think it is shit to pay for it.I hope it will be free.
china
- I can say this is the fastest browser I ever used, and I like it very much, but I don't know why you aren't add the "auto toggle word-wrap" function to this browser?I think it is easy to you but important to us!
