Gamespot Renegade Preview

Over at Gamespot, they have just put up a 6 page Renegade preview. It's got info about the design, the story, structures, units, weapons and a screenshot gallery with 17 pictures! Some pics are old, but most of them are completely new! Check out this excerpt from the preview: It was only a matter of time before the Command & Conquer series eschewed the shackles of 2D graphics for the more robust and modern 3D world. While voxel technology was adopted by Westwood for Tiberian Sun, Firestorm, and Red Alert 2, the Command & Conquer series was, for the most part, still mired by two-dimensional tiles and units. It's somewhat poetic, then, that the first C&C game to fully embrace 3D graphics isn't a typical Command & Conquer game at all: It's Renegade, a 3D game that's light on strategy and heavy on action. Don't misunderstand, though. Renegade is still very much a Command & Conquer game, complete with Global Defense Initiative and Brotherhood of NOD units, structures, and soldiers. All the established C&C rules still apply. Instead of taking control of hordes of tanks and infantrymen, however, you assume the role of a single foot soldier named Nick Parker. Welcome to Generation Renegade. Today I have made a few updates to the site: added a GDI/Nod info page, added a Pre-order Renegade page (you can also preorder Red Alert 2 there), added a Renegade FAQ page (you can find the release date there), and updated the Weapons page. E3 is very close

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which is held from May 11 to May 13, is very close upon us! Within 3 days of time, we'll all see new Renegade material being released by Westwood! Here at Generation Renegade we will do our best to bring you the latest Renegade related news and info happening at E3. Therefore, be sure you visit us so you don't miss out on anything! Also, we will have something very cool and exclusive when E3 takes place... :-) hehe

Red Alert 2 FAQ

There is an official Red Alert 2 out on the internet... Check out one of the questions: 27. How do you execute a "cow rush"? First, find some cows. Next take a Crazy Ivan and bomb the cows. The bombs will stay inactive until detonated by the player. Then use a few Yuri units to mind control the cows. You will now have control of their movements. Walk the cows up to a player base (they are not recognized as enemies) and use Crazy Ivan to blow them all up! Its udder madness! Wow... a cow rush... I wonder if there will be a dolphin rush? Accoring to PC IGN, Westwood will be showing off two games at this year's E3. Yup, you guessed it, one is Renegade and the other is Red Alert 2. To check out a list of other games being shown at E3, check it out here
