Huh? What's this about?
For the betterment of mankind, Linux.Com has established an
online help forum on the OpenProjects
IRC Network. #LinuxHelp is intended to bring both experienced users
and newbies alike, with the common goal of promoting the better use of Linux.
OpenProjects uses a round-robin dns, so you can easily connect to the network using conventional IRC clients by using the server irc.openprojects.net on port 6667.
If you're at a loss as to which client to use, take a look at irc.themes.org for all the latest in the *IX IRC client world. Also, if you're having issues using the Java chat client above, please read the quickstart guide.

To further support the Open Source community, Linux.Com has placed a server
on the OpenProjects network: irc.linux.com. Although primarily intended
to cater for our Java users, irc.linux.com is currently open for everyone to
connect to.
Before dropping into #LinuxHelp, please ensure that you've taken the time to
check for a HowTo on the web site, or on the related links pages. Once you're
reasonably certain that what you're asking isn't already covered in a helpful
man page or online FAQ or mini-HowTo, we'll be more than willing to assist.
For those of you who wish to use a Mac or Windows client, (in the purest interests of discovering more about linux), and do not wish to use the Java client (above), some resources/clients may be found at:
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the Linux.Com IRC server or the Java client, please email ircstaff@linux.com.
