So it's a wonder (a wonder!) that Heero makes a solemn promise to Relena and then, without batting an eye, immediately turns around and breaks it. Here's the scoop -- Relena is summoned by the Romefeller Foundation to attend a summit meeting.

Before she leaves, though, she extracts a promise from Heero that he won't leave without telling her. Relena leaves and Heero hops into his Wing Gundam and zooms off to battle OZ Mobile Dolls in order to protect the Treize faction's headquarters in Luxembourg.

So my question is this -- how will Heero turn this situation around so that it sounds like he was really acting honorably when in fact, he just proved that he's a bit of a scumbag?

So there's that.

There's also the matter of Relena's quasi-psycho brother, Zechs/Milliardo. The guy changes names at the drop of a mask. Today he decides to be Zechs. It works to Relena's advantage because while Zechs is wiping OZ's MDs out of existence, Relena points out that Zechs Merquise is no relation of hers. Ergo, the Sanc Kingdom cannot be responsible for his actions. Smart, huh? Even Twigbrows is impressed with that one. Relena marches on home only to be attacked by some MDs on a deserted road. Luckily Miss Noin and Quatre save her butt. Her butler isn't so lucky, however. His airbag must be filled with rocks because the poor guy doesn't look good. Relena, of course, walks away without a scratch. Ain't that always the way is it? Jeez.

Feel the force, Zechs. I mean, Milliardo.

Then we return our attention back to Heero, who's single-handedly defending Luxembourg against impossible odds. Tom Cruise had more support in "MI-2." Heero has his knee nearly blown off but he continues to attack. Does the guy just have a death wish plain and simple or is he punishing himself for being such a jerk to Relena? Not that I mind because I don't get what he sees in her except for a juicy divorce settlement if they ever should tie the knot. Regardless, Heero's hell-bent on being the dude to save the day. In a surprise twist, a lone voice bursts forth from Heero's comm. system. It's Treize, who tells the kid he can't die yet -- he's needed. I've got to tell ya, if Mike Tyson was fighting on my behalf, I'd say the same thing. "Keep fightin', Mike. Don't give up! Live to protect me again another day."

After all this bitchin', you might think I didn't enjoy this episode. Know what? You're wrong. I did. I liked the twist with Relena and Duke Dermail. I liked the surprise assassination attempt. I liked Quatre and Noin being the cavalry. I just wish I could hear Heero explain himself next time he shows up to take Relena out for a milkshake. "Um... some voice on my comm. system needed me." Yeah, right.

--Ross Brooks recommends that Heero buy Relena a whole bunch of flowers.
